From State Rep. James "Bubber" Epps (D-Dry Branch): I don't know Rep. Ralston personally, but certainly hope it turns out to be a good choice. We need unity in our efforts as we deal with our state gov't issues. From State Rep. Amy Carter (D-Valdosta): I have an excellent relationship with Representative Ralston and have great admiration for him. From State Rep. Gerald Greene (D-Cuthbert): I am not surprised as he is a good natured person and very smart. I think he will look after rural Georgia.
So the reactions to David Ralson becoming House Speaker is mxed, but our rural democratic legislators have or seem to have high hopes for Mr. Ralston.
