Press Release: Roy Barnes raises over $3.6 million

ROY 2010 RAISES OVER $3.6 MILLION

Over 50% of campaign contributions were less than $250; no
contributions from Georgia lobbyists

Marietta, GA - Roy 2010, Roy Barnes' campaign for Governor, announced
today that it has raised more than $900,000 during the first quarter
of this year, bringing the campaign's total contributions to over $3.6
million.

The campaign currently has more than $2.8 million cash on hand.

Over 87 percent of Roy 2010's overall contributions come from Georgia
donors, and more than half of the campaign's contributions are less
than $250. The campaign also reported that none of its contributions
came from registered Georgia lobbyists.

The top ten counties in contributors for this quarter are Fulton,
Cobb, DeKalb, Carroll, Bibb, Houston, Chatham, Forsyth, Gwinnett, and
Taylor counties. Over the last several months, Barnes has visited
over 75 Georgia counties as a part of his listening tour of the state.

well wishes and support," says Roy 2010's Campaign Manager, Chris
Carpenter. "Roy has a vision to make Georgia work, and we are glad
that our message is resonating with folks from all across our state
