Last Night Elections

Results from last night.
Over in Montezuma, Incumbents Frank Lester & Roy Barker were defeated by political newcomers Bobby Lewis & Carl Peaster. Lewis got 392 votes, Peaster 385 votes & Tarsha Riler 378, but there were some controversy in that WMNZ Radio reported all three challengers had won the election, but later on Incumbent Charles Glover had pulled ahead to third place & Riley had slipped to fourth. In the end, Glover iked out a win of 384 votes to Riley 378.
Over in Warner Robins Chuck Shaheen & Chuck Chalk will meet in a runoff for the right to become mayor of Warner Robins on Dec. 1, Up in Baldwin County, Independent Candidate E. Culver "Rusty" Kidd will head to a runoff possibly with Democrat Darrell Black for House District 141 seat. Angela Gheesling-McCommon a republican & Black both had 23%, but black led by only 16 votes with military ballots still out. If the lead hold, Black will meet Kidd for the runoff, if not, McCommon will meet Kidd for the right to represent the Baldwin County Seat. I say Name Recognition is a major factor in why kidd, who got 44% did so well.
Up in Butler, Jay Stalnaker missed by 21 votes as Glenn Harris wins another term on the Butler CityCouncil. Jay ran a great campaign & look out for him in the years to come, maybe next year?
And up in Atlanta, Mary Norwood will meet Kasim Reed in a runoff to decide who will become the next mayor of Atlanta. I said Norwood had to win last night, because It's hard for me to see her winning in a runoff with Reed. I give Reed the slight edge, but if Norwood can get her voters back to the polls & peel offf some of Lisa Borders supporters, she will pull it out at the end.
