Stimulus meeting to be held in Macon

The Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission will hold a “Stimulus 101” forum at 2 p.m. Saturday in Macon City Hall, according to Councilwoma

The event will provide an overview of President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the overall impact of the federal stimulus legislation on Macon residents. Panelists for the forum tentatively include representatives from the state Senate, state House and Middle Georgia Regional Development Center.
