A new Winthrop Poll in 11 Southern states finds 47% approve of the job President Obama is doing while 42% of those surveyed disapprove.
However, looking ahead towards next year's elections, 45% would rather have a Republican-controlled Congress to "serve as a check on President Obama's agenda" while 40% want a Democratic-controlled Congress to help with the president's agenda. Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president of the United States?
