State Rep. Mike Keown (R) candidate for the Georgia Second District seat in the U.S. Congress predicts victory and a heavy voter turnout in the 2010 election for the post.
“I have to do something,” Keown, a Coolidge Republican, told a Thomasville crowd Tuesday.
If Washington, D.C., leadership continues as it is, Americans might not recognize the country in a few years, he said.
The Second District needs “a good, conservative Republican,” Keown said.
“I don’t think we have a representative who represents the people anymore,” he added.
Keown said Bishop has proven he can hurt the district by the way he votes.
The candidate does not believe in amnesty for illegal aliens.
His one-word response to a question about whether he favors government-funded insurance for illegal aliens was: “No.”
