Sunday Sales Bill: Not this year.
This is the second year in a row that legislation to allow the sale of alcohol on sundays have died in the general assembly. This is nothing but politics at play here. It's time to get the issue out the way & to get on & bigger & more pressing matters of the state. State Sen. Seth Harp (R-Midland) decided that he didn't have the numbers & decide to pull the bill & bring it back up for another day according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. There are certain areas of the state where the bill doesn't play well in like in ultra-conservative North Ga where the power of the GOP is based.
