Dr. Santamaria has lived in Dublin, Georgia for the past twelve years. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton and received a medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He also received his surgical and urological training at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, arriving in Georgia in 1991.
He is a member of the Dublin Rotary Club, served on the boards of the Dublin Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club of Laurens County, the Laurens County Chapter of the Southeast Division of the American Cancer Society and the Heart of Georgia United Way, Congressional District Rural Health Committee, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Financial Committee.
His platform includes or course: Healthcare, Education, Economic Growth
Says Santamaria: I am now ready to give back at the state level to the community that has so embraced and supported me since my arrival twelve years ago. I desire to represent the needs and protect the dreams of the citizens of Laurens and Johnson Counties. I desire to be a common sense voice for all of the people. The State House, to function best, requires a diversity of representation. There is not one single physician in the Georgia House of Representative out of 180 districts. A significant portion of Georgia’s state budget is healthcare, but there is not one single physician in the State House to represent your needs and concerns. Georgia needs a physician’s perspective. We need a doctor in the House. I am ready for the challenge. I would greatly appreciate your vote and support for becoming our next Georgia House of Representative for District 143!
He is married to wife Cyndie & they have two children Michael & Kendall
