U.S. Congressman John Barrow, who is currently serving his third term as Congressman from Georgia’s 12th Congressional District, will serve as the Parade Marshal of the May 8 Glennville Sweet Onion Festival 10 a.m. parade and will also be featured as the keynote speaker for the noon program at the State Farmers’ Market.
In the House of Representatives, John currently serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee and on the subcommittees of Energy and Environment; Health; and Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
Barrow, who now lives in Savannah, has deep roots in Georgia. For over seven generations, his family has farmed, taught, preached, and practiced law all across eastern and southeastern Georgia.
