I Didn't know this, but a new candidate has entered the race for State School Superintendent.
Her name is Sandra Cannon Scott (D-Augusta)
Cannon ran for Ed Tarver's State Senate 22 seat, where she lost to eventual winner Hardie Davis, who in the end won the special election for State Senate 22.
I don't know much about her. Here's what I found:
Scott is a sunday school teacher & minister who was a former chair of the Fine Arts, Professor of Music, Director of Choral Activities at Mississippi Valley State University for 11 years (1987-1998).
Again I'll try to find more about her in the coming days.
