Tony Center, who is a democratic party activist over in Chatham County will run for Chatham Co. Democratic Committee Chairman according to reports out of savannah. He joins attorney Will Claiborne to replace outgoing chairwoman Janice Dean. He has run for Congress twice before for the 12th congressional district.
Claiborne has said he wants to re-establish a party office and focus on fundraising. The party gave up its suite on Victory Drive after the 2008 elections, mostly to save money.

Center also promised to "organize, streamline and make our committee efficient, effective and ready to help those candidates who win our primary win the general election."
