Sears who was the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court before retiring in June is the second prominent African-American to endorse Ken Hodges for Attorney General. Former Atlanta Mayor, Congressman & U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young endorsed Hodges a couple of months ago.

Despite Rob Teilhet being from Metro Atlanta, you now have to think that Ken Hodges is the man to beat for the nomination for Attorney General. How can Teilhet top that endorsement?

I think Hodges has a chance of winning the primary. I don't know much about the ethics investigation involving him, but with these endorsements by Andy Young & now Leah Ward Sears, he will be a major player in 2010
